I appreciated that Roland reached out to let me know his availability for check-in had changed. I had to leave at 4 am to catch a flight out of PHL, so I could not do breakfast. However, it was good to know they would have been able to accommodate the dietary needs of one with celiac disease. I love the neighborhood (having previously lived there for over 30 years!). The property is beautiful and peaceful with sweet garden paths and sculptures. The house is appointed with an incredible array of antiques. The stay was quiet; the room was very clean. Appreciated the water bottles and fridge. Wish I could have stayed longer!

We absolutely loved everything about the Aplenhof, the property, the pool, the breakfast and the host, Roland. Our room was extremely comfortable and very very clean. It lacked no amenities. Great menu for breakfast, coffee very tasty and meeting new people at the breakfast table is always fun. The gardens surrounding Alpenhof are stunning a testament to the hosts hard work.  We enjoyed the pool and noted it felt Spa like surrounded by all those beautiful flowers.

The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit yogurt and many different choices such as omelets, pancakes, waffles and plenty of delicious pastry. The location and the gardens are beautiful and we took long walks through the residential neighborhoods. We came in for a wedding and the highlight of our trip was Alpenhof! We hope to return very soon.

The perennial and winter gardens at Alpenhof Bed & Breakfast are gorgeous. The building has been tastefully and creatively converted to a B&B, and is both spacious and cozy. The backyard in-ground pool is nestled in the garden, flanked on the rear by a stunning stone wall. I enjoyed a pre-dinner and early morning swim in the pool. Very refreshing on a hot summer day. The hosts served a very generous breakfast in our room due to our COVID concerns.

Alpenhof was a beautiful oasis just outside Philadelphia. It was conveniently located to the city (by car), and the nearby town of Media was full of great restaurant options for takeout. The room was very nicely decorated with high quality bedding, mattress, and furniture. Rooms had everything you could need including complimentary water, two luggage racks, thick shades for darkening, and toiletries. Breakfast was AMAZING. Full service breakfast on the porch overlooking the garden/pool was included, with fresh coffee, juice, and a wide variety of options. They were easily able to accommodate my partner who had a gluten allergy. Really fantastic building architecturally, and there's a beautifully maintained garden and pool complete with chipmunks for entertainment.

This is a true gem of a destination, whether for one or multiple nights! The building is unique in so many ways. You could spend an hour or more exploring all the nooks and crannies, the decor and artwork. Everywhere you turn there is something interesting that captures your attention. The hospitality, food and beauty of the rooms are exemplary. It helped to make our 35th wedding anniversary truly special!

Everything was above exceptional. We felt at home immediately. Roland and Anh couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. The breakfast was individually made and delicious. The presentation , taste, freshness, setting, service was above and beyond our expectations! The garden grounds were so beautiful and peaceful. We can't say enough about the setting and hospitality. Alpenhof is an amazing place of art and interest in every room.

Wonderful breakfast reminds me trips in Europe before. The whole place is quiet and beautiful , my daughter said it feels like that she walked into a secret garden. The host couple are very friendly and warm, with the clean and comfortable beddings, it feels like at home. Love this place and small beautiful town nearby,we will go back again.

Ang & Rolland are amazing. They were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The egg omelet was delicious! Coffee juice and fruits were fresh too. Location was good close to downtown Media. Best of all very cheerful atmosphere. We plan on going back. We definitely would recommend this hidden gem.
